The challenge

WestJet, Canada’s most trusted airline was looking for a sustainable way to replace the printed brochure at their their “WestJet Trade Travel Expos”. The exhibitors who are different hotel partners from their WestJet Vacations collection get the opportunity to showcase their information to the visitors in a digital way to ensure that as many as possible of them interact with their content. Visitors should get the chance to receive as many offers and information as possible to find the best one for them pre and post event.

The solution

With a focus on protecting the environment and expanding their digital presence WestJet decided to use the digital sponsoring platform Fanomena Events. The exhibitors can share their offers with their target group in a digital way with the chance of measuring the interaction of the visitors to determine a clear ROI.

The Travel Agent expo attendees get all the offers they need gathered at one place with the chance to check them before, during or after the event.

Conclusion

Using the digital sponsoring platform Fanomena Events at the „WestJet Trade Travel Expo“ was a complete success for the Canadian airline. 17 of their exhibitors used the opportunity to include their content in different ways on the platform. They were convinced from the chance to get a detailed report about the performance of the visitors with their content. The opening rate of more than 75% shows that the new method to bundle the information is well received by the participants.
